Question about autopilot +

Hello,

I Havnt used autopilot + yet and am currently at work. Didn’t have enough time to start a long haul this morning, something I do most mornings to then land once I get home.

My question is am I able to start the flight now, on my lunch break on my iPhone, and then activate autopilot + to then land on my iPad once I get home?

Is swapping devices something this can do?

Thank you!

You can only turn on the AP+ when you reach at your cruising altitude. Then you can close IF and open whenever you want, the flight will keep going till it’s 30 mins ETA.

Does it stop at 30 min ETA?

Yes it does

Yes it does. And you have 48 hours to resume if you aren’t there on time.

Yes you can. You can continue the flight on any other device once it is running on AP+.

And also your accounts are linked to both devices.

Holy crap, this is a wild game changer. Thank you.

That 30mins isn’t always exactly 30mins. Most of the time it will pause the 30-25. One time it even paused the flight at 19mins for me and also like 5mins for someone else.

So essentially at the top of descent or just before, it will pause the flight so when you want to resume you can?

Typically descent only takes 15-20 minutes, but yes, 30 minutes out from your destination, it will pause your flight, and it will remain paused and available to you for 48 hours after the last time you were active on that flight. And yes, as others have said, device switching is actually one of the main features/uses of AP+ that IF emphasizes!

What would happen if I enabled it like 1 minute before TOD?

If you pause it less than 30 minutes away, it won’t start AP+. However, if you have already used AP+ in the flight, resume it, then exit the flight again with less than 30 minutes left, AP+ will go back.
