How long does IFATC typically stay at each airport? Is there an opening and closing time for these towered airports?
In the list provided on the expert ATC schedule for HUBs and destinations, does IFATC follow the order of airports, or just get to what they can? I assume they can’t control all these airports at once, unless they have a big enough crew for that day.
There is no maximum time, but IFATC must remain open for a minimum of 30 minutes at a class Charlie, or 60 minutes at a Class Bravo.
No specific times, they can be open or closed any time during that 24 hour period.
Usually, the main hub is opened first, and then the other airports on the list for the day are open in no specific order. Usually all of them aren’t open at once but sometimes if it’s during peak times or during a weekend they may be.
