Question about A320

Good morning, does anyone how to fly the A320? I’m having dome problems.
How many Trim porcent do you use?
Thanks

I usually use 25% of trim.

heres a takeoff guide

and heres something you can also look at

Do you use 25% of Trim in the take off and Landing too?
Because this aircraft doesn’t responding well.

Are you flying too slow? I don’t remember having any issues

Mmmm I think not, I landed with 140 knots and I took off between 160 and 170 knots, but the aircraft nose start get up and get down.

At 160 knots you should be able to easily pull the nose off the ground and take off unless your device’s calibration is seriously off

But the aircraft nose get up and get down is in the Landing, I took off easily.

Oh, the A320 tends to slam its nose down pretty hard after touchdown especially if you have some autobrake going, so just keep some back pressure after touchdown and you’ll be fine.

So, you mean the pitch oscillates up and down? You’re not talking about bouncing?

As long as your speed is not too high, the oscillations can usually be reduced by practicing many landing repetitions focusing on smooth, steady control inputs.

I was just testing multiple times. The nose does tend to go down as expected but it seems to be slow enough for back pressure correction to be fairly mild. Though I didn’t try in different conditions (trim 0%). But I can’t see how it would change by changing other variables.

edit: I subsequently tried again, but using 25% trim (what the op stated) vs 0%. I don’t know if it’s my imagination, but the nose seems to lower a bit more aggressively with higher trim(?).

Okey, thank you for you help.

Hello @velezm06, I would recommend using Simbrief for not only fight plans as you can link your account to Infinite Flight, but also for speed calculations. Normally I use 25-30% trim depending on weight for takeoff, and the same for landing. I would also recommend adjusting your sensitivity to fit your style.

Okey, thank you very much
