Hello guys, I will be traveling somewhere within the US this month and I was wondering with everything that’s going on in the aviation industry is it safe to fly the 737 Max?
Yeah just don’t get a window seat. Jk
The Max is obviously safe, but if you’re having doubts, maybe it’s your peace of mind you need to worry about. So another aircraft may be better.
Trust me, the airline wouldn’t fly that plane if they weren’t 100% sure it’s safe to fly, you should be fine.
Yes it is 100% safe. The NTSB lead investigator said she would feel safe sending here self and family on the max. I flew the MAX 9 on Alaska to Kahului and back without a problem or fuss. Felt safe the entire time and one of the smoothest planes I have been on. The only reason your seeing so much news about a boring problem is because there paying attention to it now even though a 737 MAX bird strike has nothing to do with the plane it’s self or if the flaps lock those weren’t announced to news networks for them to broadcast like now.
In two months, the entire max fleet safely flies a passenger count equal to the entire population of California.
That means the max fleet transports the entire population of the US in 1.3 years.
That’s a lot of meaningful “test” data.
“Every day, more than 80 airlines operate about 5,000 flights with the global fleet of 1,300 737 MAX airplanes, carrying 700,000 passengers to their destinations safely. The 737 MAX family’s in-service reliability is above 99% and consistent with other commercial airplane models.”

Lmao good one 😂. But yea I definitely think it’s not bad but just want to get a word of advice from people before I do anything.
That’s a good point yea if not they’d just ground them.
Oh wow I actually haven’t heard about that. I think it’s all about maintaining now that Boeing has so much pressure they’ll do there part in getting the plane to be operational and now it is up to airlines to maintain them. And ur right there’s a lot of media pressure on Boeing to.
Too* 😶🌫️
Wow that’s statistically interesting and didn’t know that. I do see a lot of flights being operated by the 737 max. I’ve been looking at tickets on various airlines and United especially has many flights on the Max. If I had to compare the max to something I’d compare to the iPhone 15. It had problems when it came out but now the problems were fixed through multiple upgrades.
flying the MAX is no safer or more dangerous than really any other plane you’d fly on, while yes its had recent issues like said above, the airline wouldn’t fly it if it wasn’t safe to. the media often play up and dramatize any minor issue the max has had, even if its a common occurrence on other aircraft. I wouldn’t personally worry about it. but if you are doubting it severely, best move to another plane for your peace of mind
Exactly I feel the media are the cause for so many confusions. For example the incident of the tire falling off the United Airlines B777, people were blaming Boeing but that’s 100% United’s fault.
Update: I’ve booked my flights I’ll only be flying the 737 Max 8 once and it’s only for 2 hours.
This is not IF related. :)
