Timeline
1st August 2023 - Destination Doha
On the 1st of August, we held our very first community event! It was a huge success, which saw over 100 pilots fly into Doha in only a 20 minute window. It went down as one of the busiest events the IFC has ever seen!
24th August 2023 - Specialised Cargo Mode
This was a very special day for everyone at QRV. The release of our one-of-a-kind cargo mode (more information can be found on our thread). Our hand-crafted cargo challenges separate us out from other VAs, and provide our pilots of a realistic cargo experience like no other!
8th October 2023 - Formation Flight at Qatar Grand Prix
On the 8th October, we hosted our 3rd IFC event, back at Doha, celebrating the Qatar Grand Prix. A huge highlight of this event was the airshow over the airport, flown by our CEO, and 3 other incredibly skilled pilots. An event to remember.
18th June 2024 - Worldwide Summer
On the 18th of June, we started our biggest event series yet, worldwide summer. For 10 weeks we visited a different region of the world, every week we visited a different region. Taking us on a 3 month long tour of the world!
25th October 2024 - 100,000 Flight Time Hours
On the 25th of October, Qatari Virtual had passed 100,000 total flight time hours! This meant that if we were to spend that time circling Earth. We’d circle it 2000 times! And went to the moon and back 600 times! This was a true testament to what our community could achieve!
22nd March 2025 - Safari Skies
On the 22nd on March, we hosted the Safari Skies event. An event that had VA’s from all across the world come into Johannesburg and had over 130 aircraft arriving into FAOR at it’s peak!
Now - A constantly evolving QRV
Qatari Virtual continues to push boundaries, offering pilots new and exciting challenges. From the countless events that have come before to the many still ahead, QRV has grown into an incredible community of 270+ active pilots, united by their passion for aviation. Backed by a dedicated staff team and a CEO who gives 110% to the VA, QRV remains stronger than ever. As we fly through 2025 and 2026, we look forward to even more unforgettable moments and, most importantly, soaring to new heights together!
