Hello IFC! Back with another request. Today, I’ll be requesting the Qatar Airways A321neo!
Qatar Airways had just received their first NEO aircraft last month, with the first two registrations being A7-AJB and A7-AJD. These aircraft were supposed to be AirAsia, but they were instead taken up by Qatar. Due to them initially going to AirAsia, these aircraft are equipped with a high density 236 seating, all economy arrangement. These aircraft will be the first A321neos Qatar will operate, with their original ordered aircraft coming at a later date.
These aircraft, only entering operational service just under 2 weeks ago, currently fly to a handful of regional destinations, consisting of the following:
- Medina
- Peshawar
- Multan
- Sharjah
- Sialkot (From 3NOV25
- Tbilisi (Fom 1JAN26)
- Colombo (From 1JAN26)
These destinations are regional as Qatar plans to use these high density A321neos on shorter routes with high demand, instead of medium to longer route with high premium demand, which is useless with all-economy aircraft.
Why do we need this? Even though the aircraft is very new to QR’s fleet, it will definitely be vital to its narrow body fleet growth in the coming years, and may open up destinations further away with lower demand. The aircraft can also act as a replacement for the A321 in-game, which virtually doesn’t exist anymore. Once the original livery gets implemented into the aircraft, it will definitely be a good addition to the upcoming A321neo.
