Qantas' only flight to South Africa: QF63 (Sydney-Johannesburg)

Commandeering one of the most southerly flights in the world was a real treat. The flight took me south of Australia, over Tasmania and the coast of Antarctica, before heading north towards South Africa, entering near the coastal city of Durban.

My cousin and I also arranged to meet in Johannesburg, so the Air France 777-200ER is my cousin who flew in from Paris Charles De Gaulle (LFPG).

Aircraft: Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
Callsign: Qantas 63 Heavy
Server: Expert Server
Flight time: 14 hours and 21 minutes

As much as I love The Queen, I was more keen on flying ‘her heir’ (at least in the Qantas fleet) on this route. That said, I could try the Queen on this route going in the opposite direction.

And yeah you should definitely give this route a try! You may also want to try QF27 (Sydney-Santiago) and NZ30 (Auckland-Buenos Aires). IMO any flights that fly near or over either of the poles are always spectacular :)

I’ll have to try this route someday. I love the 787 so much. Honestly, I think it’s the best plane in the game right now, I mean, besides the queen
