Ah, domestic widebody flying down under. A time-honored tradition of Australian flag carrier Qantas, beginning with the 747-200, before moving to the 767 and A330 families. Due to the high demand for cross-country flights across the continent, between the Western Australian city of Perth and Melbourne and Sydney in the east, Qantas will generally augment its thrice-daily 737-800 services with an A330, usually the A330-200, but occasionally an A330-300 will nake an appearance. As we don’t have the A330-200 in Infinite Flight (yet), I used the less-common A333.

Boarding our aircraft at Terminal 1 in Melbourne. Our aircraft, VH-QPH, is named “Noosa” after the popular Queensland vacation destination.
Taxiing out from T1’s remote gates
Turning onto the runway for a rapid departure to Perth
Loud CF6 takeoff
Climbing out over rural Victoria
40,000 feet over the Great Australian Bight, which looks like one of the local shark species took a - forget it, it’s an absolutely horrendous pun.
Gradual descent over Western Australia
Landing in Perth. This is actually my first flight into the airport! Great work from the lads over at Project Australia!
Parked at Gate 14 and viewing the airplane from the upper level of the terminal
