Hello everyone, I’m requesting the addition of the Purdue University C172 to Infinite Flight with the coming C172 rework. I know we have many students of Purdue on the forums and this would be a great gift to them!

Purdue University:
Purdue University is a public research university in West Lafayette, Indiana, and the flagship campus of the Purdue University system. The university was founded in 1869 after Lafayette businessman John Purdue donated land and money to establish a college of science, technology, and agriculture in his name. The first classes were held on September 16, 1874, with six instructors and 39 students.

Cessna 172 Skyhawk:
The Cessna 172 Skyhawk is an American four-seat, single-engine, high wing, fixed-wing aircraft made by the Cessna Aircraft Company. First flown in 1955, more 172s have been built than any other aircraft. Measured by its longevity and popularity, the Cessna 172 is the most successful aircraft in history. Cessna delivered the first production model in 1956 and as of 2015, the company and its partners had built more than 44,000. The aircraft remains in production today.

I’m huge fan because its my hometown university. The Lafayette/West Side area is rich in aviation history with countless graduates moving on to developing virtually everything aeronautical. Neil, Amelia, and technology engineers responsible for developing space, military, and civil programs have either studied at Purdue or work closely alongside for decades. Not to mention GE and Alcoa and their partnership with all the major aircraft manufacturers takes place not far from the college. Boiler up!

I don’t think we’ve seen a whiff of this livery yet, hopefully it will be one of the surprises in the update for the many Purdue students/alumni who play IF!
