To avoid constant bumping of topics, I think that there should only be a bump if the ___ Days later text appears.

There’s already a rule for this. People are just ignorant and don’t read the guidelines. Or they ignore them.
From the guidelines:
Make the effort to put things in the right place, so that we can spend more time discussing and less cleaning up. So:
- Don’t start a topic in the wrong category.
- Don’t cross-post the same thing in multiple topics.
- Don’t post no-content replies.
- Don’t divert a topic by changing it midstream.
- Don’t sign your posts — every post has your profile information attached to it.

If no one is interested in the topic, it shouldn’t be bumped.

I’ve seen a few bump topics whose last activity was 4 years ago, topics that don’t follow the current rules for features. Don’t know why those aren’t automatically closed by Discourse.
What I was targeting was things such as new users saying things like “daily bump 1” or etcetera
