Kansas City International Airport will be making it’s way to a device near you soon! This airport is in the very early stages of development. There is no timeline for when it will be released though. I have a goal to have the airport done before the end of 2023!

Everything Deleted - April 17, 2023
Everything 2D-wise has been deleted at KMCI. Work on the new terminal 2D portion has been started.
Project Kansas City Postponed - April 19, 2023
KMCI has been postponed until further notice. The airport does not have sufficient imagery of the new terminal 2d layout and is missing key details online.
Once new imagery has been posted to the web maps (Google Maps, Apple Maps, Bing Maps, etc.), work will continue.

March 15, 2023 - Scenery Download onto Device.
3D Work
March 26, 2023 - OSM Buildings added.
March 26, 2023 - Extra OSM Buildings Deleted outside of the Boundary.

Because why not! LPPD, KORF, KCRW, KTEX, LPSJ are all AMAZING airport and soon KMCI will also be another AMAZING airport in Infinite Flight!

Oooh… yay! Thanks for your commitment to building up Kansas City. It should be a fun one to fly out of considering I have family there and fly there every so often :). May ask if you’re building the new terminal, or are you going off of the slightly older satellite imagery that shows the construction of the new terminal?

I will be building the new terminal!
Any airport that IFAET team members edit has to be up to current standards and images surrounding the airport. An example of this is KORF. I had old imagery and now I have to go through the entire airport and redo practically everything since the imagery was from at least 5 years ago!

Any pictures you could share would be amazing. There is limited imagery and pictures currently of the new terminal at KMCI.

First WIP comping from KMCI. I added the OSM and removed buildings that were not needed.

Hey,
I cannot see the new imagery on Google Earth, Google Maps, and Bing Maps. I need to see all taxiways lines, pavements and gate outlines for me to continue the work on KMCI.
That is not enough for me to continue working on the airport. There is still construction, and many of the gates are blocked off. Also, on the south side, there is still construction as you can see.

Of the new building, yes that will help for building it. It will not help with the 2d element, that is why the project is postponed because I can not get new imagery of the layout of the airport if that makes sense.
