This WIP give me a stunned!
Was just thinking when we’d get this in IF. Gotta love Project China lol.
And now we’ve got some more 👀
The final 2 concourses of T2 and 8 remote gates (aka “the rainbow gates”, we recreated the colorful roadway lines here). These make Guangzhou fully up-to-date ☁️
You’re a miracle worker, honestly. Can’t wait for CQ T3B to be finished IRL so I can have it in IF lol.
We’ll get to it asap when the satellite imagery is ready. It’s on our list!
Wow! Chinese airport quality in IF are the best!
I am very happy to see that 3D Chengdu Tianfu International Airport can be updated in the future, and all the Sichuan Airlines livery posts have been voted on!
I hope more aviation enthusiasts can join Sichuan Airlines Virtual in the future!
3UVA is steadily under construction!
I’m very happy that Sichuan Airlines Virtual is about to have a dual-airport (3D) operation soon!
i thought that was real 😭😭 i was so excited for a second
On December 26, the new fourth runway at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport was officially opened. Since then, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has become the first in central and western China and the third airport in China to have four runways and operate at the same time.
Flight MU5428 (Chongqing-Shanghai Hongqiao), operated by China Eastern C919 aircraft, became the first flight to take off after the opening of the fourth runway. Chongqing Airlines Flight CZ2342 (Haikou - Chongqing) became the first flight to land on the fourth runway after the opening of the runway.
It is understood that the officially launched fourth runway is located on the east side of the third runway, with a length of 3400 meters and a width of 45 meters, parallel to the third runway layout, in accordance with the requirements of 4F aircraft design and construction, can meet the needs of various large passenger and cargo aircraft takeoff and landing.
Terminal T3B of Chongqing Jiangbei Airport is located in Yubei District of Chongqing, north of the former Terminal T3A of Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, 21 kilometers away from the center of Chongqing, with a construction area of 368,000 square meters and a maximum height of 37.7 meters. The appearance of T3B terminal building adopts X shape, consisting of the main building and four finger corridors, which is in harmony with T3A in style. This project is the last large-scale expansion of Jiangbei Airport, and Terminal T3B will build the “largest single satellite hall” that attracts worldwide attention. After the completion of the project, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport will form four runways and four terminals to meet the annual passenger throughput of 80 million passengers, 580,000 aircraft takeoff and landing movements, cargo and mail throughput of 1.2 million tons, and the operation support capacity will be further improved.
The picture is from an earlier document, written in the plan, which has actually been built!
I mean infinite flight crew can consider updating the location view of Chongqing Jiangbei Airport
Chongqing is my hometown,so I really want to see a new Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport!
We in Project China are very well aware of the update. However, the imagery in your original post is low quality, and can’t be used as a reference to build the airport. I can tell you that I have tried using Sentinel imagery (similar to your image) to build the new part, but eventually the attempt was abandoned as the terminal and jetbridge layout can’t be replicated without higher-resolution imagery from providers such as Google/Apple/ESRI.
We’re constantly monitoring for available imagery and take my words, as soon as there’s HD imagery we’ll start working on it at once. Stay tuned for more updates!
Your actions have spoken much louder than your words. Great job
