Tracking Thread - SXM
Welcome to the Tracking Thread for St. Maarten and Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM/TNCM). Last September, Hurricane Irma devastated the Caribbean (Including SXM). Many airlines suspended service to SXM as they deemed that the island wasn’t fit for service.
Over the next couple of months into the coming years, SXM will be rebuilding and airlines will be reannoucing/announcing service to the island.
Air Canada Rouge
Air Canada Rouge Resumed Service Plan:
Currently: No Scheduled Commercial Flights
Plan: Resuming December 15th with a x1 Weekly Service from Toronto operated by a B763
Air Caraïbes
Air Caraïbes Resumed Service Plan:
Currently: 1x Weekly from ORY operated by a A332
Plan: Beginning November 7th, Air Caraïbes will add a second weekly flight making it 2x weekly, operated by a 332.
Air France
Air France Resumed Service Plan:
Currently: 1x Weekly from CDG operated by a A332
Plan: Beginning June 20th, Air France will add a second weekly flight making it 2x weekly, operated by a A332.
On October 29th, Air France will increase the frequency to 5x weekly, operated by a A332 with the A340 as a “High Season” Aircraft.
Air Transat
Air Transat Resumed Service Plan:
Currently: No Scheduled Service
Plan:
CYYZ: Resuming December 22nd with a 1x Weekly Flight (Saturdays) operated by a A310
CYUL: Resuming December 22nd with a 1x Weekly Flight (Saturdays) operated by a A310
American Airlines
American Airlines Resumed Service Plan:
Currently: 1x Daily from MIA operated by a B737
Plan:
KCLT: Resuming November 23rd with a 1x Daily Flight operated by a A319
- In Early 2019, American has plans to add a 2nd Daily flight on the CLT-SXM Route. This would be a Red-Eye Flight (Landing at Night and having a overnight stay at SXM)
KJFK: Resuming December 19th with a 1x Daily Flight operated by a B757
KMIA: On November 4th, American Airlines will increase the frequency to 2x Daily, 1x operated by a B737 and 1x operated by a A321 (Replaced with the B763 during High Season (Dec-Apr))
KPHL: Resuming August 25th with a 1x Daily Flight operated by a A319
Caribbean Airlines
Caribbean Airlines Resumed Service Plan:
Currently: 2x Daily from POS operated by a B737
Copa Airlines
Copa Airlines Resumed Service Plan:
Currently: 3x Weekly from PTY operated by a B737
Plan: Return with Daily Service towards the end of 2018

Delta Airlines
Delta Airlines Resumed Service Plan:

Plan:

On December 1st, Delta Airlines will increase the frequency to 1x Daily, operated by a B757 with the B763 as a “High Season” Aircraft.
KATL:
On December 1st, Delta Airlines will increase the frequency to 1x Daily, operated by a B737 with the B757 as a “High Season” Aircraft.
JetBlue
JetBlue Resumed Service Plan:
Currently: 1x Daily from JFK operated by a A320
Plan: No announcement yet about BOS-SXM Flights yet
KLM Airlines
KLM Airlines Resumed Service Plan:
Currently: 2x Weekly from AMS operated by a A332
Plan: Beginning October 28th, KLM will add a second weekly flight making it 3x weekly, operated by a A332
Spirit Airlines
Spirit Airlines Resumed Service Plan:
Currently: No Scheduled Commercial Flights
Plan: Resuming May 5th with 1x Weekly Flights operated by a A319 from KFLL
