I stayed at the Crowne Plaza John Lennon Hotel last night which is in the old airport terminal building of Speke Aerodrome which was used until 1986. A full Wikipedia article can be found here:
There are a few preserved aircraft on the old air side of the terminal and I got a few pics of them this morning just as the sun was rising:

The Jetstream is a simulator my nana lives near there and we stayed in the hotel before worth a stay as it is the old airport!
