Hi everyone! I’m preparing to apply for IFATC. Which ATC skills should I focus on first when practising on the Training Server, and why?
Thank you for the advice! Could you give an example of that situation and explain how you would handle it?

Chech out the ATC Mentor Hub (ATCMH):
Could also be helpful to spawn in as a plane at a busy airport with ATC and just listen to the frequency. I did this sometimes to get more comfortable flying with ATC active back in the day.
So this is the main thing that ATCMH works on. They first work on allowing you to understand the basics of pattern entries, sequencing, re sequencing, conflicts on the ground etc. This is the main thing that is going to be on your IFATC practical. Now I would suggest watching the video below as it’s basically what is guaranteed to come up on the test.
I am in ATCMH myself and they have helped a lot, amazing mentors, amazing people and lots of sessions everyday
Hi, nice to see that you want to join us. When you prepare for the practical exam you should practice everything in the responsibility of Tower and ground: Pattern work, sequencing, clearance, pattern entry, transition, RWY exit, taxi, pushback, etc.
A tipp, practice with other controllers even before you passed your written exam, this will help you a lot to understand what these things listed in the IFATC manual actually do and you can get feedback so you know what you have to read or practice again.
You don’t have to be fully prepared to apply for IFATC, after you applied you will have 30 days time each for the written exam and practical.
Good luck
