Hi, I just wanna ask if how do you guys prepare the phone and the app itself in android before to start a longhaul flight?
What do you mean?
I open the app, spawn in, make my FPL, takeoff and sleep.
See this section of the User Guide:
There is a section titled: “Additional Android tips”.
Oh so its not required of restarting the phone?
I’ve already read that a year ago, So it is still required always? Even without the app crash issue which is no longer common?
It’s best practice.
That doesn’t mean it’s always necessary.
It depends on your specific device and settings.
Just try to figure out what works best in your case.
In Infinite Flight, you have the luxury of making easy FPLs inside the sim. All Sid’s and Stars are available, as well as wpts on a perfectly detailed map. I usually create them in-sim without SimBrief.
I only utilize 3rd Party FPL software such as SB when using MSFS, since I’m lazy going completely manual with the FMC.
You can also copy from FlightAware for those longer flights you are conducting. Just make sure there are no hiccups when it transfers over.
Hey, since you have an android device, try to use the Samsung game launcher to launch Infinite Flight.
I highly recommend it, it run perfectly, and the best part is that you can shut off you screen and lock it when you are doing a long haul !
Dm me of you need more info.
I close every background app and launch IF, never had crashing issues doing so. That and having my settings on medium and FPS limited to 30.
