I am a learner too here. I am still on the road to give IFATC written and practical test. Feedback I will give you may not be 100% correct. Any mods or regulars feel free to correct me. Here is all feedback according to my current knowledge of Ground / Tower ATC
Positives
My stand didn’t require pushback so I requested for taxi and you approved it. Some will make mistake and send pushback approved command automatically.
I asked for frequency change while holding short Rwy 10R and you sent me “already told to change freq”
Pattern Entry, Sequence and Clearance was good after I requested rwy change
After flying 20+ miles away I turned around and was meant to request transition but I accidentally contacted KMIA Tower for transition intead of you at KFLL Tower. When I was 1 mile above KFLL you sent me an ongaurd message and thats when I realised I requested transition to Miami tower instead to you ha. You sent me “Say Intentions” sorry my bad
After exiting the rwy I intentionally was taxing on sandy surface to test your ground vigilance. you sent me “this is not a taxiway”
-Things that could be improved
You forgot to give “Rwy Exit command” to BA001" always keep an eye on planes after they touch down.
You did not need to “call my base” after you told me to follow traffic on left downwind rwy 10L “N428OP” since I already knew who I was following, it was my duty to follow him discreetly. It would make sense to call base if you want to get as many departure planes out as possible.
N4280P was on second pattern and flying left downwind rwy 10L, you cleared him #1 for option. However you cleared me #2 for option previously and I was on final this time. Correct command would have been “#2 traffic to follow is on final” or “#2 runway 10L cleared for option”.
When I announced inbound request after arriving from 20+miles west, you gave me pattern entry which was good but then you told me “#2 traffic to follow is on right base” in this case I was following C-XING and he was on right crosswind leg going to right downwind leg. Correct command would have been “#2 traffic to follow is on right downwind”
Since I left your frequency after your approval for departure to west and returned, I requested “inbound for landing” you did not need to “Clear me for option” You would give “Cleared to land”
