Breaking news out of Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport: There’s a blackout, leaving thousands of passengers stranded in the terminals. A plethora of flights have been delayed or cancelled for both arriving and departing flights. This is part of a power outage in the area affecting 44,000 people (including me) that was caused by heavy storms.
My father, who is a TSA officer at the airport, describes the incident as ”Total chaos,” adding further “Nothing arrives, nothing leaves. Passengers everywhere.”

What’s also really unfortunate is that there was to be an open house for the new airport building today that I planned on going to and showing here.
What surprises me is that there’s no generators.
