Imagine you are an Air France A350 captain on a flight from Tokyo to Paris. You are 35,000 feet above the Arctic Circle and the sun is just peeking above the horizon even though it’s afternoon. You just came back from your scheduled crew rest and take your seat. There is about two and a half hours until descent and there’s not much to do after 12 hours of flying so you take this picture from the dash in the flight deck.
