Potential fix for E175 Flap Positions

I realized on the E175 that the flap positions when they lower for 1 and 2 is wrong, as well as for 3 and for full. If you look at real world pictures, the flaps when 5 are much lower, and when at full are even lower. Chances are I know that the team won’t fix this or care to look into it so I think I am wasting my time/breath by creating this topic but it doesn’t hurt at the end of the day.

What pictures have you seen? Because this is info provided by a former E175 pilot:

FLAPS 5 CONFIGURATION

FLAPS FULL CONFIGURATION

The flaps full config in IF currently represents the flaps 5 config in real life

This would mean a pretty long rework, so even if the devs try to fix this, you’d prob have to wait a couple more updates cuz it’ll be at the back of the line

How exactly do you know one is flaps 5 and one is flaps full? Both of them look like flaps full to me. And here’s what these angles look like in IF with flaps 5 (which is the same configuration of flaps 4, both of which are flaps 3 with more slats) and flaps full:

Flaps full:

Flaps 5:

I do agree that flaps full seem to extend less than they should, though.

Flaps 5 in IF stays in the position of flaps 2 in the real world, flaps full in IF is flaps 5 in the real world, in actuality flaps full needs to go down a lot more in IF so flaps 1,2,3,4,5, and full are not aligned with the way the flaps are programmed to move in the real world.

Look at flaps 5 and full again on the pics you sent me, flaps 5 is much higher than it should be, and full is not low enough, make sense?

So after I looked into it a bit more, the flaps in IF should be moving a lot more when flaps 3 is engaged.

@AvioesEJogos the OP is correct that the flaps are incorrectly modeled in IF. It was an unfixed issue that was supposed to be fixed with the E190 and its correct flaps, but for reasons I still don’t know, that promised fix never happened.

I’ll create an internal issue and ask my lucky stars for it to be addressed.

Ohhhh really? So the E190 has the fix? cause it seems accurate to me. I was thinking that the other day I was like wait, the 190 seems to not have this issue.

That’s amazing to hear that there was a fix planned and the devs know about it, that makes me so happy! Here’s to hoping it gets fixed in a hotfix or update.
