You may not know this, but most of the Charlotte, North Carolina region is actually in South Carolina (There’s also a little chunk of the region in Georgia). Surely it would be a more accurate name if it was South Carolina? It might confuse people thinking they could fly to Greensboro or something.
“NC” is referred to Charlotte, so in my opinion it’s a correctly named region…
As you can see it’s all in the Charlotte sectional so it’s properly named.
