Overall nice work. Quick Things,

a) Why have us turn right after the touch and go for RWY 27L and then have us turn left after the touch and go for RWY 27R?

b) Apologies for terrible landings and connective issues.

I thought it was boring to fly in the same pathway so I would switch it up a bit cause you would keep requesting the opposite runway. Apologies!

I recommend reading/watching about patterns because you seem to be saying things that aren’t necessary, to sum it up in a sentence.

Here are a few smaller things to work on:

  • Minimum transition altitude is 2,500 for patternwork, 3,000 for inbound/outbound flights. You cleared me at 2,000 and then corrected yourself to 1,500, way too low.

  • You don’t need to clear me for the option if I call “full stop”. Instead, you clear me to land.

    • Following on that, if you already clear me for the option on my downwind, and then I call “full stop”, you only have to respond, “Roger”. You don’t do anything after that until I land.

I can’t think of anything else, I’ll edit this post if I eventually remember something else.

Key Problem: Work on those patternwork commands. If you’d like me to elaborate, let’s continue in a PM. 🙂

Happy controlling!

Clearing for the option is acceptable as the option includes a full stop landing. You can choose either one. :)

They can’t ghost me for that, can they?

Yeah I know, but there’s a difference between if you announce you are done with your flying patterns session before or after ATC clears you for the option.

Ex. of before clearance (me shown in italics, ATC shown in regular text .)

IF-SB110 is on left downwind of Runway 26L at CYVR.
IF-SB110, is on left downwind Runway 26L, full stop.
IF-SB110, roger.
IF-SB110, Number 1, Runway 26L, cleared you land.
Number 1, cleared to land, Runway 26L, IF-SB110.
IF-SB110 lands.
Ex. of after clearance (me shown in italics, ATC shown in regular text .)

IF-SB110 is on left downwind of Runway 26L at CYVR.
IF-SB110, Number 1, Runway 26L, cleared for the option.
Number 1, cleared for the option, Runway 26L, IF-SB110.
IF-SB110, is on left downwind Runway 26L, full stop.
IF-SB110, Roger.
IF-SB110 lands.

There’s a difference, @TaipeiGuru @Populeux_Music.
