Poor ATC management atc CYVR

6 planes in line for takeoff at 26R and landings are being done in the same runway while 26L is completely empty. At this moment, ATIS says that landings should be done on 26R and takeoffs on 26L… :man_shrugging:

For something like this, please DM the controller. A public topic is not necessary or helpful. If you cannot square things away with the controller, take it to an ATC supervisor.

I understand the frustration. I just spawned in and saw them using 26R for landings and 26L for departures. However, proper coordination must be done between both the Tower and Approach controllers, but the Tower cannot dictate to Approach which runways to use for arrivals or departures.
