Hello @F35_aviation,
Whilst ESSA is not featured specifically on the IFATC schedule for this month, controllers are still permitted to open any airport in the world at anytime, keeping in mind that the IFATC team is made up of volunteers.
That being said, November 25th is in a similar region of ESSA so hopefully a controller might open ESSA at some point during that day.

I agree. Some controllers might open but the traffic levels wouldn’t compare if it gets the chance to be in the spotlight and build hub-level traffic. Really great airfield
