This is mainly aimed for those on expert server whose wifi goes funny often this is so people won’t get ghosted and they are warned to check connection and if it keeps happening then they will be ghosted or something like that so then it’s fair for everyone.

Those with a bad connection should not be ghosted period. There has to be a less severe way of removing them from the server.
Demoting grade and rank for circumstances beyond a pilot’s control is unethical…Even in the real world.

We reverse every single ghost if an aircraft shows as unknown and they’re removed.

There is no way to send “please check connection” if they have no connection… hence why they’re usually ghosted. They’re coming down final or awkwardly holding short and we can’t send a single command.

Hi Tyler,
The circumstances of my first and only ghost was virtually the same. I couldn’t recover control of my plane after an incoming call “uncalibrated” my phone with my plane. I explained this to Mark and the controller nobody cared.
It was like trying to fight a traffic ticket in Municipal Court lol you just have no chance.

A “stop leaving app or you will be ghosted” command would be better.

Yes you should. How can I keep a tight approach line, that requires pilots to react to turn commands within seconds, while planes are disappearing for 30+ seconds at a time?

I’ve never ghosted someone for disappearing and reappearing. Yes it is annoying. Now if you lose connection and decide to go crazy and bypass the line and go straight for the runway you might cause some issues.

If you have a bad connection (and you’re aware*), sense should say not to fly on live and disrupt everyone else. Never fly on live unless you are positive you have a good, strong connection. This applies to everyone.

Its something that happens not just for pilots LOTs of Times’ i have seen ATC start controll end controll so to ghost some one is not the right decision when aproaching the runway and Atc does like that how Would you decid to take off or not and Atc Would not agree for me for take off pilots cant refer it

I mean that controllers get network issues to and that can make pilots unsure on what desicions to make and the controller don’t aggre about what the pilot is doing and to ghost is not the right tool and you can’t refer how your internet is working.

They ghost them for the time being and then reverse it afterwards. No big deal.

There are connection issues, then there’s leaving the app repeatedly and as a matter of course. I’ve had pilots on touch and go or cleared for takeoff who leave the app for as long as 15 minutes while on the runway. Then they spring right back in as if nothing happened and cause runway incursions. I have pilots who routinely set APPR then leave until minimums.
Why is that okay?
