Plane Spotting Photos with your Phone Competition

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Planespotting Photos with your Phone Spotting Competition! Dang, that’s a mouthful to say. Anyways, I’m your host, @WaxyScorpion308, bringing you what can only prove to be an exciting event! I hope you all enjoy!

Rules of the game

There are only a few rules to this competition, but you must adhere to them at all times to ensure that gameplay is fair!

  • photos MUST NOT be taken by a professional camera - only the one on your smartphone!!
  • all photos MUST be original - no copying!
  • pay close attention to submission due dates - you WILL automatically forfeit if you don’t submit in time
  • there MUST be a new submission for each round
  • please don’t sign up if you can’t actually participate - you’re only taking up spots that others may want
  • no editing photos!! I only want straight-up pictures from your straight-up phone!
  • when voting for a round commences, active participants (ones that have not been eliminated) are not permitted to vote for any matchup - even if it’s not their own
  • matchups will commence once 32 users register

Sign-up sheet

Thank you all, and good luck to all participants! I look forward to getting the first round underway soon. May the best photographer win!

Question; I use my phone as a camera. But I use binoculars to get a better zoom effect for an overall clearer picture. Does this count?

Nice! Are people who live close to airports allowed?

Count me in!

Question: Does it have to be a picture of an aircraft in flight?

Say this to a real coach sometime and maybe we wouldn’t be having these issues :sob:

Answer: no, not necessarily, but you’re a lot more likely to get a good picture of one that’s at least taxiing than one parked at a stand or a gate

What if the photographer is stood at a stand or gate (or another parking spot)?
