Planespotting for my Birthday!

Hello community!

As the title says, I gathered a few photos from today and yesterday for my birthday which is tomorrow (24/11). Don’t have much to say other than thank you for the support!

British Airways Boeing 787-10 flying over my house from LHR @ FL380

Ryanair Boeing 737-8200 departing from runway 28R. It was cold yesterday but worth it!

Took this one a few months back around Spring but never showed it so here is the Qatar 787-9 from Doha.

First time doing a long exposure shot of an aircraft departing, how did it go?

One of my favourite photos of this year by far.

Thank you for viewing and have a great day! :waving_hand:

@FreshOuttaPoland long exposure shots are done by having a very low shutter speed on a tripod to let more light in.

The best you have low ISO and set the Shuterspeed to BULB (For Canon)

It works best with an Remote Shutter and a tripod since your hand will be to unsteady if you have it over 1 Minute or so

The main spot in Dublin to watch planes land on 28L. The moat is what they call it I think.

To add to this @FreshOuttaPoland if you can find a frame where the plane is in and out within 30 seconds, you won’t need a remote shutter and can just dial in 30 seconds on the camera. I would use a shutter delay if you go this route though, as the shock of you pressing the shutter can throw off the image quite a bit. You definitely do need a tripod though, or other hard, stable surface so the camera doesn’t move a millimeter. Also disable any image stabilizers on your lens.
