Planespotting at JFK

Hey, I was thinking about going to JFK to get pics of some international flights. Does anybody know where to get good pictures of the big ones?

Do you think you could ask him to check my topic out? Or no

I tagged him so he’ll see the topic anyway.

Awesome, thanks man!

So you want to spot from inside the airport or outside the airport?

T4 and T2 Spot around runways like 22R and 31L

North Woodmere Park is good for Arrivals on 22L and 1 other runway

I was gonna say that! Lol but yeah Woodmere is a great location. Also, there’s a school right off the end of runway 22L/22R (that also has a soccer field 😉) And the planes literally pass over you (and next to you depending on if it’s runway 22L or 22R) at about 200ft MSL. The school is called PS 181 Brookfield.

Get on the Train or whatever it is called which takes you around the around, you can get a lot of planes

Technically your not supposed to take pictures of aircraft at JFK, you can get in trouble if security or airport staff sees you, most of the time they don’t bother you depending where you are, but sometimes people will nag you about it and tell you to not take pictures. If your not in the airport, like spotting at a nearby open field, you should be fine.
