Today I went to EGNX (East Midlands Airport)
Obviously it is not an immensely busy airport so there were few planes. However, I decided to put a video together showcasing my favourite ones.

Haha, it was really cool to see the smoke off the wheels when they landed. Although for some reason only the Ryanair’s made loads of smoke. 🤔

They try to land smooth but they have to land hard in order to save fuel by avoiding go-arounds😄😉😂

Ahhh the local. How far did you come from?
During the day it’s pretty much your bog standard Ryanair/Jet2/Thomson/FlyBe (unless you get lucky). If you can get in for the early evening, however, then you get the cargo boys in. We get 777s, 747s, A300s, A340s. Next time I suggest you try and stay for around 5-6pm if you can.
Have you visited the Aeropark also? It’s got viewing mounds (only good for 09 arrivals, although you do get the advantage of runway lineups if you’re unlucky), plus loads of vintage aircraft, including a Vulcan and a Nimrod (the plane, not the TS1 pilot). Really worth a visit.

Oh yes I have been to the aero park but all I saw was takeoffs from rwy27 and by then they were airborne.
I live about 10-20 mins down the road dependant on traffic of course.
I always look out for the 747 that comes once or twice a month, I can hear them soar over my house at about 3000 ft.

Oh nice. I’m only about 25 mins down the A50.
@ewanfleming Security at EMA seems to be fairly relaxed (probably due to most flights from the EU). I think he was in one of the car parks
