Planes with which you are able to land smoothly

The 787. I nail it every time without even trying… It’s almost ridiculous how smooth she is. There are others as well but none like her. Not even close.

Defiantly the DC-10/MD-11. One of the easiest planes to land out there. The 787 is up there, but not as easy as the DC-10/MD-11 to land.

I’m able to do a TBM, 737, CRJ-900,A380 and sometimes an A320

I’m half decent with the 737 now, depending on crosswind…

…everything else I’m still working on right now - less ‘butter’ more ‘crunchy peanut butter’ 😉

There’s been scientific research linking inbreeding with people who use the term “butter” for smooth landings. Something to keep in mind.

Planes with good ground effect:
737 family, and the A319/A320 I’ve noticed can BUTTER!!

The A320 is easy to grease (not butter, that is not the correct term). With a lot of ground effect and a flare just after 20 feet, you can float the plane a little, really close to the ground, and touch down smoothly and on VREF near the piano keys.

737, 330, 777, 787, and TBM are very easy to grease

DC family, md family, I can butter those really easily (btw grease and butter mean the same thing, lets not fight over this)

It’s not as if butter had any meaning in intelligent aviation discourse anyway.
