I’m pretty sure everyone who browses this category already knows exactly who I am, but let me introduce myself. Hi, my name is Robert, and I am a plane spotter at Calgary International Airport (YYC) in Canada. I went spotting this last Friday with one of my close friends, and we were out for like 6 hours. I have just four shots to share with you, with more soon to come. So here they are!
The Photos
A Cargojet Boeing 757-200BCF takes off for Hamilton. Given that the aircraft was empty, he rotated around Taxiway Zulu (About 2000 feet down the runway!)
A WestJet 767-300ER taxis for departure to London Gatwick as WestJet 1
A very snowy look at Air Transat, arriving from Punta Cana! I apologize for the quality of this shot it was snowing quite heavily, but I still think it turned out alright.
Another look at Transat! This spot makes you feel airside, he wingtip passes about 7 feet from you if you’re standing at the fence!
About Me
As said earlier, I’m a planespotter from Calgary, AB. Canada is very cold. It was about -27 C when I was taking these photos. I use a Nikon D5100 with a 55-300mm lens. My Instagram is @rj.aviation, and I highly suggest that you check it out! I have other spotting topics on the community that showcase my best shots to you!
So that wraps up Friday’s spotting round. I should be going out next weekend so expect some more content then. Thanks for checking me out today, I hope you all enjoyed. See you next time ✌🏻
