It irks me so much when I’m on final and the plane behind me is flying way too close… like omg I get it you’re probably rushing and your device is overheating, but at least do a 360 for spacing:sob:
I wanted to record a realistic timelapse and now the landing’s ruined (expert server)
Nvm, I was about to confront the user but meh
Well you sort of did in post #2 ![]()
I always try to see two sides of this. What was your approach speed around final (6-8 nm out) and speed as you approached the cone by the way? For instance, I sometimes see pilots going WAYYY too slow prior to reaching the cone (140-150 kts) and at busy airspaces this causes a massive problem for guys following
To be fair there was no ATC at Heathrow when I posted this on the forum. Only three aircraft were inbound for landing (myself included). The British Airways used 27R while I went for 27L. I was the first to announce inbound and was already on final ahead of the Air India flight behind me (who also chose 27L). I maintained 180 kts on final and slowed to 145 kts at 6NM. Meanwhile, the plane behind me was still at around 160-170 kts ground speed ![]()

. We ended up colliding right after touchdown but whatever I’m just gonna redo the flight
