The takeoff and landing tutorials talk about various degrees of pitch. Where do I find the angle of pitch of the aircraft? Thanks.
Here you go
If you’re talking about the current pitch of the aircraft in flight, I believe you may be referring to Angle of Attack
The lines on the altitude/attitude indicator each represent 5 degrees of pitch. This can either be found on the HUD view in Infinite Flight, or on one of the displays in front of the pilot in the cockpit view. Hopefully this is what you’re referring to.
Pitch angle and AoA (angle of attack) can be the same but are usually not. For example, your pitch up may be 10 degrees even though your AoA is 5 degrees.
Pitch is nose angle above the horizon. AoA is nose angle above your flight path.
You can see this all separated out in the HUD: nose mark, horizon mark, and FPV (flight path vector). AoA is the angle between nose and FPV.
I’m a little confused 😂
No worries 😂. Thanks for your help.
Sorry, this was cryptic and frankly off topic (hence the parenthesis). I had looked at both of your profiles at one point and was later confused who was who because I associated you both with location, not realizing you are both in Virginia. So I had an aha! moment (in my own mind). Again, sorry for the confusion.
And, btw, I of course agreed with your answer.
Ah, I see 😂. No worries. Thanks for the clarification lol.
