Pitch and Roll switching mid-flight

I was flying on the casual server from KDTW to CYYZ. When I was on final, I turned autopilot off (calibrated 3 times before doing so) and the nose started pitching down and the plane kept rolling to the left. I kept getting this issue since last week where the Pitch randomly gets assigned to Roll and my Roll gets assigned to Pitch (if I pull the phone up or down it goes left and right instead, and when turned left or right it goes up and down). The game does this mid flight at random points and I have to keep reinstalling the game. This is the fifth time in the past 2 days that I had to reinstall the game due to this. Does anyone know whatā€™s causing this issue? Itā€™s so annoying when Iā€™m about to land after a long flight online and I canā€™t do it since the Roll and Pitch decide to switch roles mid flight.

Device: iPhone 14 Pro Max
Operating system: IOS 18

Does this have anything to do with the Auto-Rotate feature on your phone?

This has something to do either with auto-rotate or screen share. I donā€™t remember which. But Iā€™m sure @Balacachini could maybe help you out as he has had the same problem.

I have auto rotate locked so it canā€™t be that. I was using screen share so I guess that may be the issue, but why does that happen and can I prevent it from happening?

Well, thatā€™s the reason then. You can either not use screen share or reverse the pitch and roll inputs from settings.

Besides the things mentioned above, there are two other solutions I can think of.

  1. Make sure you are calibrating before shutting off autopilot.

  2. Check your control figurations in settings. Itā€™s possible to actually assign roll to pitch and pitch to roll. Iā€™ve done it once on accident. Make sure that roll matches with roll, and pitch matches with pitch.

If screen share is used, it should be the other way around if you want it to work normally :) (yes this is a bug)

Thatā€™s cool, never happened to me when screen sharing, but thatā€™s why I said to also consider the things said above lol

Yeah weird. This youtube video demonstrates it pretty well towards the end

Iā€™ve actually tested every plane on multiple iPadā€™s for versions going back a couple of years and have found that the application has some mysterious bug.
Every plane was set similarly in weight according to their size & capability, take off speed, no wind, no turbulence and same weather, temp & time setups. What I found shall we say revealed a serious gyro bug that ā€œeveryā€ aircraft has. I sent the info to devā€™s over a year ago and never heard anything. Every plane veers right with no input what so ever ultimately crashing to the right out of control. Itā€™s weird. The 380 has some fore aft tilt issues regardless of what the devs say. It can quickly become unstable. I see in your video some of the ā€œtraitsā€ that the app has.
My take only!

Could very well be the case. I donā€™t think this is causing OPs issue though.

Uhhh @Anthony_Gulluscio whatā€™s happening to your pfpā€¦

Donā€™t worry about it ;)
