Hey,
during my decent into Punta Cana yesterday I noticed an extreme tilt (-1500VS / FL240 / 300knots airspeed)
Can you explaine that for me and give advices?
Looks about normal cuz mine does the same
That’s not very extreme. It looks pretty normal actually. The aircraft will tilt downwards slightly during descent like in real life.
A330 it’s a big aircraft so when descending it will look like it is a steep descent
Yes this is true you might overweight
What’s your AOA and are you in a steady decent, or only just pitched down?. Also how’s your load?
IAS 300kts, TAS around(??) 480kts at FL300? Say 480kts forward speed, which is 552mph, or 48,546fpm. So you’re going about 32 feet forward to every 1 foot down. That’s a decent angle of about 1.8 degrees (inverse tangent of 1/32). (I’ll see later if I made a mistake…)
Your AOA will show the difference between your pitch and flight path. Should be very small at your IAS. (I think you’re at FL240?, making the decent angle closer to 2 degrees, if 300kts is your true rather than indicated, angle is even more…).
