PIO - Pilot Induced Oscillation

I’ve been doing some spotting in IF from the tower cams mostly on TS1 (because it’s just so entertaining) and notice a common occurrence. PIO or Pilot Induced Oscillation. This dolphin type motion that an aircraft gets into (mainly on final) due to the pilot being behind the curve on corrections and inputs. Found several articles on-line that explain what’s going on that causes this “Pilot Induced” action. Thought maybe the info could help someone out…
