Pinned Threads Automatically Become Unpinned

I have been noticing lately that a lot of the pinned topics I have been reading have automatically unpinned themselves when I close out of the topic, sometimes shooting them way down in the feed. This becomes quite irritating having to look for it again and re-pin it, just for it to become unpinned again the next time I view the post, especially with a post that I constantly use as a reference such as the VA Database. Am I the only one that experiences this issue? I found a thread about it here, but there were no replies to it:

This feature is quite irritating. It automatically unpins topics that you have read. I reported this to the Discourse Team, and they added an option to enable or disable this. I would appreciate it if Philippe (or some other admin) disable this feature. There is just some pinned topics that I want to keep pinned and it makes it difficult to keep them when it unpins it automatically. You can unpin manually anyway. Thanks, Henrik

Is there anything that I can do in my settings or any feature that could be added to prevent this annoying issue?

It happens when you read all the posts or get to the bottom of the thread.

Yeah, but can I stop it from happening? I don’t intend for the topic to become unpinned, but it does anyways…

I think you can click the pin icon next to the topic name.

Go into settings, scroll all the way down to the bottom. You should see this ☝️
