The way we get the high quality pictures is through replay. There’s a button that looks like a picture frame in the replay that will shoot and save a high res photo of whatever is being displayed. I use an iPhone 6s for everything, I run on Medium settings currently.

I personallyfind using a phone for IF so cumbersome so I have a dedicated iPad air 9.7 inch that I use for longhauls and touch and goes. I have an iPad pro but I find it slightly heavy for comfort. Here are some screen shots from last FNF, I have never tried an Android device.

I use a Galaxy s8 on max graphics settings. I run IF in “High Performance Mode” which is a setting on the newer galaxys. It will run it just fine on any setting though.

My iphone 6s ran smoothly on low graphics, even at extremely busy airports. i did a 17-hour flight on it without any overheating or connection issues.

Currently i use an iphone 7 plus and it runs like a dream. also, to take high quality photos, just use the replay mode, which is of a much higher quality than when you’re flying.

Your samsung note 4 and the tab will be all right at low graphics. trust me.
