So I think we have all seen those telephoto phone lenses that clip on. Has anyone used these for aviation, and to what digree of success? If so do you have any recomendations? Just wanted to know if these are usefull for aviation photography… I would be using it with an Ipad since my phone camera is well… Not great we will say, if that changes it for anyone. I dont plan to use it for anything crazy, mostly planes on approach to get a tighter shot.
Thanks KPIT…😄
Hello!
I don’t own any myself, but I’ve heard they’re pretty good. Some others on the community have them.
I do have one but depending on what Ur taking it might or may not work!
Byond tbe example I gave I do take alot of pictures, so does it actualy work well enough to have good pictures at a good amount of zoom?
It really depends on your spotting location. If ur fairly close it should be fine!!
I have one. Take a look at one of my spotting posts and decide yourself if it’s right for you. Mine can zoom up to 12x, so it’s really great. Mine is a CamKix and I got it for just 40 bucks. I would reccomend it!
Example:
@Nate_Schneller Is that 12x as well?
Yes, it’s a 12x lens
Can you give us a link to one.
I considered buying a lens, but I think the camera on my phone is good enough anyway (Pixel2).
If I want to take better pictures I have a Fujifilm SLR camera at home that works a treat!
