Perfect altitude

Hi,
How I can make good altitude for each flight?
And when I can start to descend ?

Thanks.

This is the Top of Descent, it is done by calculating:cruise altitude-target altitude=result, and then result/300
IE: 28000ft-2800ft=25200. 25200/300=84. Your descent should begin at 84nm from the target altitude. Add up to 5nm to have maneuvering space.

The altitude depends on you, if the route is long, fly at 26000ft that´s my favourite altitude), if its short, at a lower altitude.
For more info, check here: https://ivao.aero/training/documentation/books/SPP_APC_Top_of_descent.pdf

Hope this helps!

I usually start descending out of my cruising altitude about 100nm from my destination (My cruising FL is between FL250 and FL310)
