Pensacola airport

I’m currently beginning my descent into northwest Florida international and I noticed a few planes flying in and out of Pensacola. I also noticed that ATC is live. I use Pensacola airport a lot and I have never seen anyone else there so I was wondering if anyone knows if there is an event or something going on there?
