I have had Infinite Flight for a few years on my device. It takes up a lot of storage, so when My storage was full, i took away IF so that i could have some spare space to manipulate my storage. I now would like to re-download it, but the app store makes me pay for the game again.

That indicates that you are not signed in with the same account in the store as you were when making the initial purchase.
What kind of device are you using?

I think so, i recently changed devices.
Where do I see what appleID i have/had?
If able, check for receipts for Infinite Flight prior to changing your device. That will display which ID it was purchased on.

Normally it would go to the Apple ID email you bought it on. So check your email for it.

Sign in with that Apple-ID. Simple as that :)
Also, since i downloaded it last time, I travelled internationally. Does that change anything?

It shouldn’t, no. These explicitly store specific questions is best answered by Apple support though :)
