Rgr! I was helping him out for future reference
@tomthetank gave a TLDR version of the TBM takeoff, but there are also some great tutorials made by Mark Denton:
Be sure to check these out as they will help you out greatly. @Michael_Czyz
Takeoff trim is generally set to -10% but other than that trim is something you constantly adjust throughout your flight, approach, and landing. It varies from aircraft to aircraft and depends on your speed and weight.
I believe there is a topic that explains everything there is to know about using trim in IF. Definitely check it out!
Like said above I use it to get landings,XP,and practice ATC pattern sequence
I hadn’t even seen the landing one was up!
Trim is a lot about how you feel in the aircraft. If you’re flying along and pulling way back on your device, add some trim! It’s common practice to use less trim on takeoff and landing than might feel right, so that you have to maintain some back pressure on the controls. This way if you get distracted from flying (talking to ATC, checking charts, etc.), your nose will go down. This is preferable to extra trim, where your nose would go up, and you are at risk of a low-altitude stall/spin incident.
When taking off I will usually set my cruise altitude and cl ik mb at 0 then power up to 35% then set speed at 120 but releasing once the a/t full powers then at 85 I set climb rate to 1500 and gear up at 15 ft agl. It always works out perfectly 4 me.
