I know this might be a bit controversial but I am very much into realism meaning like using real taxi routes, parking spots, callsigns etc with the help of flightradar. I know not everyone might be the same as me
It has come to my attention that these planes with the star next to their names (not sure what that means or what it is), they come and land at an airport, stay there for ages and what is really taking the cake is that they are parking on places where they are not supposed to park or where we as normal users of the server must park at a ramp away from the terminal or scouting the whole airport as there are no available parking spots.
For instance, at Heathrow T2 : a B787 parking at an A380 stand so no more Qatar A380 departures from T2 as there are no A380 stands left. At JFK : AN BA A318 STANDING ON A B777 STAND? REALLY? (see picture attached)
So I am calling out to anyone that can help and address this situation because it is getting out of hand. I feel like we should have the right to choose where we want to spawn if we want to do a flight.

Developers have already stated they’re working on the parking issue. I suggest you should find another parking spot until then.

I can tell you right off the bat that expecting to have access to the exact gate you want is unrealistic and simply won’t be true all the time. I get wanting to fly realistically, but the reality is, if you wanted to fly realistically, you’d be in the cockpit of the real world aircraft. This is just a flight sim, and like all sims, not everything will be perfect.
I know this may seem harsh, but I’m tired of seeing all the topics from users who expect to be able to have everything they want in the sim. You have just as little right to that gate as they do.
Now, if you shift your complaint to discussing aircraft blocking a majority of a terminal, or sitting at a typically high usage gate for months, or blocking all of the large capacity gates, then that’s a conversation worth having. And like @RTCarter1 said above, the devs are very actively working on a solution for this, in order to incentivize the parked aircraft to utilize stands and maintenance hangars for long term stays. It’s still a work in progress, but we’re getting there, slowly but surely.
Just keep in mind that there will be times where you cannot use the irl gates, and that’s not bad, that’s simply how sims work.
