Not many IFATCs or ATCs have intimate knowledge of the airport. He knows just enough to control it. They don’t check if the right person (aircraft, airline) is parked at the correct spot.
How would a parking spot reservations system work in your view?
For large Events we do take reservations for parking spots, but there is nothing stopping a random person from parking his aircraft at a reserved spot.
