Philippines will be receiving it’s first A350 in 2018, and with that comes the introduction of the NY route, the first step of it’s North American expansion. With 6 A350’s on order, they could expand to cover at least two more cities, potentially being a combination of Seattle, San Diego, or Las Vegas (which they previously served, though with an A340, the A350 will make the route much more viable), as they all have large Filipino communities. Another example of the A350/787 opening a plethora of new markets.
(Evil voice) Yes, yes. Let all the new airliners come to New York. :))
As if you don’t have enough already… 🙄
PAL A350? Nice!
Also, San Diego? I wouldn’t think such a small city would receive a wide body from the Phillipines…
There’s a pretty large Filipino community in and around San Diego. SAN is no stranger to wide-body service, BA 747/777 to LHR, JAL 787 to NRT, Condor 767 to FRA, and Edelweiss A330/340 to ZRH, the last two of which are seasonal.
Don’t underestimate the power of us Filipinos 😈 We’re everywhere!
