Howdy community! Welp, it’s that time again. 366 days went by quite quickly. A side effect of getting older. For my 5th cake day here on the community, I figured I would make it a bit more special. It’s gonna get long so I hope you find a nice comfortable seat.
Infinite Flight in 2024
This year may just be one of the most wildest years yet for Infinite Flight. The community and player base got 2 highly anticipated aircraft that they have been wanting for years. The reworked Airbus A380 and the Boeing 737 Max 8. Along with these aircraft came a long overdue rework as well, the Cessna Caravan C208. This year also introduced several new features including a new look to the Infinite Flight User Interface, hundreds of new 3D airports, auto push/pull, new collabs, more connection-making, and much more. I can’t thank the team enough for their amazing work they’ve put into Infinite Flight this year and I’m excited to see what’s next!
My Adventures with Aviation in 2024
This year is outright one of the best years of my life in aviation! There was not a single bad moment. After 8 years of waiting, I finally got to fly on the 737 Max! This amazing journey took me back to Hawaii after I last visited in 2017. The end of this trip got even better as the 2 aircraft that got me home from Maui and Vegas were N8717M (10,000th 737 built) and N8710M (Imua One)!
Another part of this adventure was the spotting I tried. I don’t have any nice camera equipped (that doesn’t fly) or time to visit new places, but that didn’t stop me from trying. This year I got to see some amazing aircraft. From private jets to specific jets hard to come by. Here are some of my favorites!
This year was also the busiest years yet for my job at Hill AFB as a Fixed-Wing Parking Tender and Ramp Manager. Our team nearly pumped 1 million gallons of retardant this season! Here are some pictures of the many tankers that visited!

Model Aircraft Collections
You guys have been great to talk to about models. Most people find that hobby silly or a waste of money, but you guys cherish it. It’s been awesome to see your collections grow and airports built. I also appreciate it when you guys come to me for advice (even when I won’t quit hating on Geminijets). I can’t wait to see what 2025 will bring for us and I’m excited to show you guys what I’ve been cooking up. -
Southwest and JetBlue livery tracking threads
It’s always nice to see you guys talking about the amazing liveries on those airlines. Debating about what might be the next special livery or who is getting a repaint next. It was also fun to see all of your reactions with the new A220 livery was revealed. Hope we can continue to talk about those liveries in 2025. -
Design/Repaint Your Own Airlines
You guys have cooked up some amazing liveries this year! All of you are incredibly talented! I’m grateful for the liveries you guys have been able to create for me (even if they’re a bit weird). I can’t wait to see what you guys create in 2025. -
FlightRader24 Findings
The stuff you guys find is always nice to see. From just a random plane to Air Force One. I also enjoy the humor that can come from the findings. Hoping to see lots of cool finds from you guys in 2025. -
Spotting Topics
The pictures you guys get are always stellar! You guys find crazy ways to capture the magical moments in aviation. Never stop spotting. I can’t wait to see what you guys cook up next for 2025. -

To all the people who found my feature request worthy of their vote, thank you. Thank you for the support you guys have given. Because of your support, something from me will one day be in Infinite Flight. Let’s hope at least one is confirmed in 2025. -
Other
This year on the community has helped me improve and grow into a better person. I find myself more mature now than I was a year ago and I want to continue to improve. To the people who have gone beyond the community for me, it’s great to have you guys as friends. I hope I can strengthen those bonds as well as create new ones for 2025.
Me in 2024 and for 2025
For those of you who don’t know me, my real name is Andy. On October 24th this year, I officially become a commercial pilot. While it may be a big deal to some, it’s just another step on my path to becoming an airline pilot. This year had many incredible moments as I was acting as a pilot. 2 moments this year stood out the most: flying in the northern lights and flying for over 7 hours across Utah. Here are 2 of my favorite pictures while acting as a pilot.
2025 for me is going to be the conclusion to my part 141 training through Utah State University as well as the hardest year in my life. My next step in my training is to become a teacher. A teacher who will be training the next generation of pilots while also working on hours to be able to qualify for the airlines. To say I’m excited is an overstatement. I’m not excited for this part of my training. However, it’s worth it. It’s been my dream to become a pilot ever since I was little. It’s crazy to believe that I’m only a couple of years away from finally achieving that dream. I may not be excited about becoming a teacher, but I’m beyond excited to become an ATP pilot!
