Hi, I was flying from OKKK to OEMA and set my speed to 300 (M .80/.81) and for some reason it set it to M 0.83 when I passed FL280. I got a violation and was disconnected as I was away. Then, I started a new flight from OEMA to OKKK. This time I set the speed to 293 and again when I passed FL280 it set it to M 0.83 and almost got a violation if I didn’t react in time. Please tell me if there’s any problem, thanks!

Do you use In-Flight Assistant? And if yes, do you use its VNAV altitude/speed feature?
A320-200, same thing just happened with my friend whom I’m flying with, @_hadi.a2

What were the wind conditions (If you remember), because wind can change at different altitudes. It could’ve been a strong tailwind that made your aircraft go faster than the speed you set the A/P to. For example, when I set my speed to 0.78 the wind can make my aircraft go at 0.79
Not that strong, was like 60-80 knts and the direction was NE.
Also, I would recommend waiting until you are pass FL280 or even cruise before going away from your device

This is an interesting one. I just tested it with the same aircraft, at 60kts of direct tail wind at 300KIAS and it just stays at 0.79 after passing FL280. Jumping to 0.83 seems odd

Wow, those GS speeds look crazy before reaching FL280, no wonder why it got set to 0.83 after. You said you only had 80kts of wind max, right?
