Yea, that’s when you go faster than aircraft design maximum speed.
I remember when the red overspeed bars on the HUD used to change based on where your flaps were at. In Solo mode a little bit ago, I was flying 335kts at 5,000 in the 737 with full flaps. The overspeed indicators on the HUD said that I was still within tolerance and there weren’t any alarms going off.
Edit: I found an example of what I’m talking about, on the 737.
That’s my point. In IRL, the PFD or HUD (sometimes both, depending on aircraft) will show your overspeed when flaps are deployed. I posted a picture in my above post which shows what I’m talking about.
I just noticed it, in all honesty. I was comparing Infinite Flight now to before I left (I didn’t use infinite flight for about a period of 3-4 years). And I remembered that Flaps Overspeed used to be a feature.
Cruising/climbing/descending you have the overspeed. With the TS and Expert server they have a speed limit of 260KT’s below 10,000ft, so you would get a violation and get disconnected. Saying that, in the casual server there is no rules and you are allowed mostly any speed you want. So that’s maybe why there aren’t any flap overspeed indicators anymore…
