There is no fixed time frame—any airline that has ever operated the passenger version of the Boeing 747 is eligible to be featured. Each flight will be documented here with route details, operational notes, and highlights, allowing fellow community members to follow along, share insights, and relive the golden age of aviation together. Before I take the flight, I will first conduct research to ensure the authenticity and suitability of the route and airline used. Of course, I will adjust this to the liveries already available in Infinite Flight, including the Boeing 747-200 and 747-400. I will let you know your flight plans as soon as possible, as I cannot estimate exactly when I will be flying.

I quite like the idea of this Tracking Thread even though i normally only fly current routes. Nonetheless I’ve been making a list of historic liveries and operators using resources like Youtube and flightsim dispatch!

Youtube as a research source is easy, but it is just a chunk that cannot be found in its entirety, especially the very rare ones.
Yes very well said if you ever need more information than just what Youtube gives u. I recommend checking out flightsim dispatch it has a lot of information like callsigns, Timings and more!
Alright, I just downloaded and installed Flightsim Dispatch on my PC. My first impression is that it’s perfect for the needs I had in mind. The usage is relatively simple, almost flawless. It’s really easy to find the flight number—even though it might not always be accurate, it’s still incredibly helpful.
The absolute best part—and what I’m loving most—is the ability to set the year range. I went with 1990–2000, because that was the golden era of the Boeing 747, the true peak of her glory days.
It honestly feels like stepping straight back into aviation history. I’ll be using this timeframe as my main reference, matching it with the liveries currently available in Infinite Flight for the 747‑400 and 747‑200. It’s such a perfect way to recreate that nostalgia and celebrate the Queen of the Skies in her prime.
